It’s been a long time since I’ve written a hangover post. About 9+9 months, to be exact. And I don’t know what’s more embarrassing — that I am a mom with a hangover, or that it only took 3.5 drinks to take me to the bad place. Also it is WEDNESDAY morning. Whatever the case, I had a great time with my guest, but I’m glad Karly decided that we’re not going to work as hard around here because Momma be tired. And cranky. And hungry for some greasy pizza. I really can’t let this blog get between me and pizza, can I?
So I have some pretty pictures for you that I compiled last week when I was still sober and responsible. Just don’t expect a lot of writing. Because that would take thinking. And thinking hurts.

You know what I love? Flamestitch. Zig zags. Chevrons. Well, I usually love them, but today this picture is making my cerebellum itch. Not the most comfortable feeling.

I. Love. Flamestitch.
It’s gorgeous, powerful, vibrant, makes a huge impact – J’ADORE!
it takes me two and half drinks now. but I don’t let that stop me. the first one is making me feel hungover. and I’m not. I don’t think. love missoni zigzaggitys always.
I’m not usually one for flamestitch, but I do enjoy a zigzag. Strange, I know.
The fabric in that last photo could make me change my mind though.
Feel better, Sweets. Try a little of the hair of dog that bit you.
If I could come back as someone in another life…it would be someone in the Missoni family….they hold the key to my heart…and I imagine they would be an awesome family to hang out with! Have you seen pics of their various abodes? Again, awesome. Yup, ‘nough said. (Mimosa’s always make me feel better, maybe its the bubbles)
i have always had a thing for flamestitch.
love it.
Ack…me too! Friends for dinner and that 4th glass of wine did me in…trying not to barf…love the chevrons, but hard to focus on…..
After this post I’m wondering why I don’t have chevrons in my house. I love the wall stencil. Too bad my house doesn’t have quirky architectural features to enhance it.
I love me a bit of a zigzag & have been campaigning to get a client to use it on their balloon back chairs which would look fabulously awesome.
The husband aint budging though and is kiboshing my fun.
Honestly, why do husbands even think they get a say?!
i’ll be as quiet as possible on this one… i usually abhor missoni, but for some reason, i’m really digging the rugs. i think, like anything it’s best in moderation, and in the right spot. on another lovely little note, i’ve given your faboosh can’t-live-without blog a wee award over at urban flea. i’d love for you to swinf by sometime and check it out. cheers my dear!

Actually, I´ve been 9+10 months without tasting alcohol, but I´m sure it will be enough with a glass of wine.
For me, Missoni is definitely the choose for my livingroom if I had enough money.
I enjoy your blog a lot!
WOW. YOU ARE REALLY BRAVE TO DO A POST LIKE THIS WITH A HANGOVER.
(Just kidding with the yelling…
i am laughing about the mommy hangover. don’t worry, its a normal weekday phenonomeom (sp) in these parts….I have a whole file dedicated to chevron/zig zag pattern. i have loved them since the 1970′s. but you picked the best images of them! that last one? wow!!!
Luv me some flamestitch. Just a smidge or a pop though. Def not a whole room. Did you see the Schumacher fabric I plan to spend a small fortune on?
Ps this comment comes to you from St Thomas and was a bitch to type on my I-phone. That’s true blog devotion
holy SHIT! that is a lot of chevron going on! i think the best (meaning: least offensive) example is the Osborne and Little Volte wallpaper. i think i could handle that one? maybe. just maybe. it all reminds me of heart beat monitors, and perhaps that is not a good thing.
I love the bw flamestick wallpaper. but i love the more outrageous stuff too. give me a whole room – why not?!
Flamestitch and I go way back. It only recently hit me that the reason I love the chevron so much is because of my long time love affair with flamestitch (when flamestitch wasn’t cool!). I think the streakiness of it makes me love ikat too.
Tiptoes softly…shhhh…
I do love me some flamestitch, some chevron, with retraint and within reason — generally, though Missoni can be permitted certain excesses in this regard.
