I’ve been debating whether or not I should post a pic of the painted kitchen because it’s storming and dark as pitch in here, and there is no way on earth I can get an accurate image of the paint color. BUT I did promise to reveal something today, and I am a woman of my word (when I want to be). So here we go, yo:

I’m so excited that our built in desk is gone that I don’t even care about the other junk in the picture. LOOK at the magnificent tile job Matt did. BEHOLD the glut of space where once there was this:

My eyes!!!

Anyhow, I’ll post pictures of the fully pink panorama as soon as the sun comes out.

Oh, and P to the S: my chandelier came and it is a thing of beauty.

Unfortunately it is also eye pokingly long…

Details to follow.

  1. Can’t wait to see the rest of it! Love that you went with the pink.

Still cracking up at your “Justin can curate the sale section at Overstock” comment, btw.

Great color! So warm and inviting! Love it. More, please.

Thank you for my present. I love reveals of any magnitude.

As for the color- I so glad you went for it! Did I tell you it wouldn’t work? Obviously wrong. Or wait, maybe that was lilac? I’m getting lost in all the color discussion.

I think you were always team pink, Naomi. I do believe you ixnayed lilac and anything dark, although yes — who could keep up with my capricious ever changing mind?

Now I just have 500 other rooms to paint. Wheee!

  5. Okay…just found your blog and I’m totally smitten. Love the color you chose too…it’s fantastico!

  6. Leah says:

LOVE the color & need to see more!! i’m sure you’ll get to this later, but what BM color is it?

  7. erin says:

Thanks, ladies! I’m actually still getting used to it… kinda nutty for a girl who painted her entire last house gray. I’m not sure I would consider this to be a forever color, but it’s fun for now.

Leah, it’s BM Terra Bella and it looks NOTHING like the chip once it’s on the wall.

  8. Erica W. says:

Wow, great job on the renovation — that’s a smooth wall.

  9. Love it and can’t wait to see the rest….so glad you went for it!!

  10. Leah says:

Thanks Erin! Looked at the chip on my monitor & it sure does not look like what is on your wall! Can’t wait to head over to see Sanders & snag a paint chip.

Looks verrrry promising. And that blank wall is heaven. We have a built-in desk too. Sigh.
