It’s all dreary today and I just don’t have the energy to reveal my crazy painted fireplace yet, so I’m going to rely on all the fabulous people out there in pinterest land to write this post for me. Thanks, guys. You’re the best.

The one thing I don’t like about pinterest is how easily sources are lost. I try to be careful about crediting the people I borrow images from, but who knows where many of the images originally came from? I wish there were a better way to track things.

Oh gosh, the reflection in that mirror is so fantastic! I don’t pin, but you better believe these are going in my inspiration files, if they are not already in there. Pure fantasy!

  2. Love the headboard/bed in the second picture…could be a fun diy project..hmm

  3. I second Nelya- the mirror reflection is so awesome. And holy leopard sofa. Or is it cheetah? I have a hard time keeping my cats straight.

PS- your leopard rug may or may not be making an appearance in MrBoy’s bedroom. Stealing your thunder! muhahaha.

I love that last photo like whoa. Pinterest does everything for me too! But the sources are always saved – I think the problem is when people aren’t pinning from the permalink so we might know the blog it came from but not any info about it. That’s just the fault of lazy pinners, right?!

  5. I guess I’m one of the lazy pinners! I just went back and tracked that photo (the green shelves and leopard rug) I pinned from LindsB and it came from Harper’s Bazaar. It’s Hutton Wilkinson’s Beverly Hills home (he’s a jeweler and interior designer and former business partner of Tony Duquette – quite a resume). I just pinned his dining room and guess what’s in it – you guessed it – a Chinese art deco rug!! Oh, and I pinned directly from Bazaar this time.

Not at all! I’m a lazy pinner, too — Pinterest just makes it so easy. I add sources where I can, but sometimes I can’t track them down. Frankly I’m worried about eventual copyright infringement issues. Not that it will stop me from pinning that fabulous dining room you just mentioned…
