While I was on Flickr today (doing real honest to gosh work, mind you) I spotted these pics that my good friend, Jen uploaded. Her uber-talented husband, who co-owns Austin’s Blue Genie, hand painted these robots in their adorable son’s room:

Thanks for the kind words, gang. The talent really goes to one of my other partners, Rory, who designed the robots and their excellent paint scheme. But everyone at BG has a real penchant for retro-futurism. The rest of the mural the robots were reproduced from can be found here:
